Environmental VO Users Training workshop on Grid Infrastructure in Moldova and Applications Gridification was  jointly organized in Chisinau by RENAM, MD-Grid NGI and State Hydrometeorological Service on April 30, 2009.

The event was held in the premises of State Hydrometeorological Service (SHMS) of Moldova and was dedicated to train national grid users of Environment VO applications of SEE-GRID-SCI project. The welcome speeches were done by V.Cazac - SHMS Director, and acad. A.Andries - RENAM General Director. Presentations on grid computing principles, National Grid Initiative and Infrastructure aspects, trends to build European Grid Infrastructure, SEE-GRID-SCI  Applications description, gridification procedure details, security aspects, users certification procedures were made by RENAM’s specialists: V.Sidorenco, P.Bogatencov, A.Altuhov, A.Golubev, and V.Pocotilenco. Detailed presentations were made about GeenView application by A.Golubev (RENAM) and about Meteo VO applications by I.Borta (SHMS). The event was attended by about 30 scientists, teachers and students.
